Fitment FAQ's:
What Is Wheel Poke and Why Does It Matter?
Poke refers to how far your wheel and tire setup sticks out past your vehicle’s factory fenders. It’s influenced by:
-
Wheel width
-
Offset (ET)
-
Tire width
Too much poke and your tires could fling mud, rocks, or water — Also your local police may not be a fan of wheels protruding guards.
Fender flares help keep things compliant and looking slick.
Not sure what offset means?
The lower the offset number, the further out your wheels sit. The more poke, the more flare you’ll need.
EG: 9 +20 will sit 20mm futher inside the guard than 9 -/+ 0. More Negative offsets will come even futher out!
No lift?, no worries!
Stick with up to a 9 + 20 rim with 285 tyres to ensure no rubbing.
if you go out to a 9 -/+ 0 with stock height, you will get rubbing while turning and require cutting of the factory liner inside the front wheel well.
Talk to a wheel and tyre shop about lifting your ranger if you desire to run more aggressive offsets.
